Portable Shelters - When You Need More Space
When trying to organize your garage just leaves you more frustrated as space is so tight, another option to consider is the portable garage or shelter.
These are an affordable and quick to put up way to shelter many of the things you keep in your garage, and they are perfect especially if you don't have the room or funds to expand your present garage or as in my own case, I rent.
My landlord was OK with one of these shelters and this way I can take it down and take it with me rather than leave behind a very expensive shed. You can get these in many sizes, from as small as a typical shed all the way up to the size of a typical garage. It all depends on your needs and budget.
What we did, was use the shelter as a way to store many of the things we keep in tubs. We live in an area with the changing seasons and so we were careful to pack and store tubs with things that freezing was not a worry. So, many tubs had seasonal decorations and some car parts.
Also consider your security. You don't want to be using these for expensive items, but they are perfect for the garden tools, wheel barrows, and many other things that you simply don't have the room for.
We are renting our space for a year, so we didn't want to add an expensive shed we would have to leave behind, so we simply purchased one of these and it has been perfect, and it has survived winter. They are pretty tough and will last a good long time and the price is right.

Portable Shelter
Try and not put them up under large tree branches as you don't want to have the shelter tear from breaking branches. If you take care of them they will last a long time.
Portable Garage Shelters
My son owned one of these portable garage tents and it lasted a couple of years and then as he moved he simply sold it and took it down and the next person is now using it.
It was a great way to store many of his car parts as he worked on cars in the main garage. He had a car hobby and the parts could be labeled into a tub then stored in the shelter. Or you can use it as pictured as a way to park your car out of the weather.
These shelters are an affordable way to get more storage and save on storage units.
